Celebrating July 4th

Tour the arts and crafts festival, cowboy up at the rodeo, catch candy at the parade, laugh at the carnival, dance to live music, and see all of the fun filled things to do in Pagosa!  All throughout the 4th of July week!

Pagosa Springs does an incredible job of celebrating July 4th.  There are activities throughout the week, day and into the night.

It will be a full week of fun!

Due to the Stage 2 fire restrictions and unfavorable weather, fireworks are cancelled this year. But there are still a ton of things to do in Pagosa this 4th!

If you’re in Pagosa for the week, enjoy some of the local activities in town before and after the 4th!

19th Hole Concert Series

San Juan Mountain Boys
San Juan Mountain Boys

San Juan Mountain Boys: country, folk, pop & old rock. Featuring DUST2 will be playing Thursday June 28th, 5:30PM-7:30PM at the 19th Hole Concert Series.

Thursday Nights from June 14 – July 19: 19th Hole Concert Series. 5:30PM – 7:30PM.

Come out to as many nights as you can! $10 cover fee which supports the selected non-profits.

At the end of the concert series, all proceeds are pooled and distributed equally to the six featured organizations.

Tim Sullivan at Shooters & Shenanigans

Tim SullivanTim Sullivan, singer/songwriter, has been a featured performer with Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette, and Glen Campbell.  He has entertained at venues across the country from “The Crazy Horse” in Los Angeles to “Town Hall” on Broadway in New York City.

The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School …. no one has faith in Elle Woods, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.Wikipedia

Farmers Market

East Side Market is on Highway 160 in downtown Pagosa Springs, two blocks west of the intersection of Highways 160 and 84. Located at the base of Reservoir Hill, the Market has a beautiful view of the East Range and a great picnic area.

The food court is open daily all season, featuring delicious meals and refreshments from locally owned food carts.

The market features a great selection of handmade merchandise directly from the craftsmen including jewelry, woodwork, pottery, children’s clothing, iron works, and metal art.

We also have terrific food, with fresh-baked bread, organic produce, raw honey, and Hatch chile spice blends and more.

The 4th of July Parade

July 4th – 10:00am

Hosted by the Pagosa Springs Rotary, locals and visitors alike line main street in downtown Pagosa Springs to watch the floats pass by.

Participants will be depicting what patriotism means to them as they decorate their floats and dress themselves in the true red, white, and blue.

Come and watch the always exciting, always entertaining Pagosa Springs Rotary 4th of July Parade! Entries are judged in 4 different categories.

Come out to the 68th Annual Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo July 2nd-4th, featuring cowboys and cowgirls from various states competing for prizes and prize money in this sanctioned rodeo series.

Mutton Bustin’, cow milking contest, specialty acts and other fun events will perform daily. Rodeo lasts about 2.5 hours.

Held at the Western Heritage Event Center Arena & Grounds.  Tickets are available at Goodman’s Dept. Store and Home Again and box seating by calling (970) 264-5000.
