Heather McCall, a seasoned Thingamajig Theater veteran, plays the quirky and intelligent Elle Woods in this rendition of Legally Blonde.  When asked what she loves most about the part of Elle she stated “It’s about female empowerment.  The #MeToo movement and reports of sexual harassment is too common, this play shows how important it is to be yourself and stand up for yourself.”

The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School …. no one has faith in Elle Woods, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.Wikipedia

As a spirited sorority girl, Elle Woods loves to dress well and change her attire for every occasion.  Nanette Cheffers, costuming designer said “Right now, Elle has approximately 18 costume changes.  And that doesn’t include Bruiser.”  Bruiser, Elle’s furry companion, will be a stuffed animal for this season but does have costuming as well.
