Pagosa Springs, Colorado is a great place to make your ski or snowboard trip destination. We’re only 24 miles to Wolf Creek Ski Area with several attractions along the way.  Pagosa also has a huge selection of activities and winter sports, you couldn’t do them all with two vacations!

Wolf Creek Ski Area

Wolf Creek Ski Area claims the most snow in Colorado.  All lifts are operating from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, including the new Lynx Lift!  Wolf Creed Ski Area is tentatively open from early November until late March.  Find current snow reports at their website.

If you’re in Pagosa Springs this winter be sure to plan a day here.  Wolf Creek Ski Area provides lessons for children and adults.  Occasionally people ski in silly costumes and pose for the ski area photographers.

Pictures, concessions, and rentals are available between the lifts and the parking lot.  Wolf Creek also has a bar and gift shop.

Cross country skiing in Pagosa Springs is popular.  There is an abundance of great locations in town and nearby areas.  Many organizations care for and manage various free to use trails.  Pagosa Springs has several quality stores selling and renting equipment.

There are many beautiful un-groomed trails as well as one groomed area rated for snowshoeing/winter hiking.  Trails groomed for snowmobiling are also perfect for snowshoeing.  The Wolf Creek Trailblazers groom many miles of trails.
